We’re thrilled to announce that Cammax will once again be exhibiting at the upcoming Smartex Transport Card Forum (TCF) 2024, taking place between 24th-25th September at Newcastle’s Civic Centre. This annual event is a huge highlight in our expo calendar, and we can’t wait to showcase our latest innovations and connect with industry peers in what’s sure to be an insightful and productive two days!

About Smartex TCF

Since its inception in 1997, Smartex Transport Card Forum has been at the forefront of Smart transport technology discussions in the UK. Established at the request of the Department for Transport (DfT), TCF has evolved into a vital platform for professionals engaged in transport applications involving Smart cards and other cutting-edge customer media.

TCF’s annual two-day conference is a melting pot of ideas, bringing together a diverse crowd of transport operators, consultants, suppliers, city representatives, local government bodies, and industry specialists. It’s here that the current state of smart transport is dissected, challenges are addressed, and future plans are shaped.

What sets TCF apart is its commitment to fostering innovation through exciting product demos. Attendees have the unique opportunity to see first-hand the latest in Smart ticketing and payment technologies. It’s not just about observing; it’s about experiencing the future of transport solutions in action.

TCF24: A Packed Agenda of Innovation & Insight

This year’s forum at Newcastle’s Civic Centre is shaping up to be an event packed with intriguing presentations and lively panel sessions. Building on the success of last year’s gathering at Liverpool’s Maritime Museum, TCF24 promises to deliver an agenda that’s both informative and forward-thinking.

Day 1 kicks off with a welcoming address before a much-anticipated talk by Kamelia Jones of the Rail Delivery Group, focusing on Rail Industry Ticketing Strategy. This session is expected to provide crucial insights into the future of rail ticketing, a topic that’s close to our hearts at Cammax. Following this, Matt Smallwood from Transport for the North will delve into the importance of “Placing the passenger first in Connected Journeys,” a philosophy that aligns perfectly with our user-centric approach to ticketing solutions.

The momentum continues into Day 2, with Tim Roberts from Tracsis iBlocks exploring future ticketing requirements from a customer’s perspective. This presentation promises to offer valuable insights into evolving passenger needs and expectations. We’re also looking forward to hearing from Kent Council about their MaaS pilot, which should provide a fascinating real-world case study of innovative transport solutions in action.

Between sessions, there’ll be ample opportunity to network with industry peers and engage in debates that could shape the future of Smart transport. On the evening of 24th September there will also be a drinks reception that offers the perfect chance to continue the debate and discussions in a more relaxed setting.

Cammax’s Cutting-Edge Solutions on Display

As a leading supplier of integrated TVM and Ticketing solutions, Cammax has long used TCF as a platform for showcasing our latest solutions and innovations. This year, we’re pulling out all the stops to demonstrate how our technology is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Smart ticketing.

During the two-day expo, we will be proudly demonstrating our cutting-edge solutions, including our market-leading Smart Rail Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) which has garnered national headlines and attention.

Our Smart Rail TVM This isn’t your average ticket machine – it’s a dynamic, customer-centric platform that’s changing the game in railway stations across the UK. Incorporating an advanced Ticket Issuing System and intelligent UK Journey planner (IPTIS), the TVM allows passengers to plan their entire journey, select seats, and purchase tickets for immediate or future travel, all from one intuitive interface.

But that’s not all. Our Smart Rail TVM transcends ticket sales, offering real-time updates on train schedules, platform numbers, delays, and cancellations through its optional Customer Information Screens (CIS). This feature is a game-changer, especially for unstaffed stations, empowering passengers with the information they need to make informed travel decisions.

In addition to our Smart Rail TVM, the friendly Cammax team will be on hand to guide visitors through our wider suite of Smart ticketing and payment solutions. This includes our intelligent and intuitive software applications as well as our comprehensive range of Smart products and services such as Pick up Posts, Smart Ticketing Engines, Smart Retail Points, and Mobile Phone Applications.

Tailored Solutions for Unique Challenges

At Cammax, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why we specialise in creating custom solutions that address the specific needs of our customers. Whether it’s incorporating unique functionality or designing a ticketing machine that perfectly matches a brand’s aesthetic, our expert team is up for the challenge. We’ll be on hand throughout the expo to discuss how we can tailor our solutions to meet the unique requirements of different transport operators and local authorities.

Groundbreaking Projects & Partnerships

As well as unveiling our latest solutions, during TCF24 we’ll be sharing some of our most exciting project successes. We’re particularly proud of our work with East Midlands Railway, where we’ve implemented advanced ticketing solutions that have significantly enhanced the passenger experience. We’ll be delving into the details of this project, explaining how our technology has streamlined operations and improved customer satisfaction.

We’re also eager to highlight our fruitful partnerships with local authorities like Nottingham City Council and Bristol Council. These collaborations have resulted in the roll-out of next-generation ticketing systems that have truly transformed the Smart ticketing landscape in these areas. We’ll be discussing the challenges we faced, the solutions we implemented, and the positive outcomes that have been achieved.
