Modaxo Leadership Visits Cammax: Six Months of Progress & Future Ambitions

This week, we were delighted to welcome members of the Modaxo leadership team to our Castleford Head Office and main factory for a two-day visit. It’s been six months since Cammax proudly became part of the Modaxo group, and the meet up provided an excellent opportunity to take stock of our progress, share insights, and explore future opportunities for growth and innovation.

With both teams eager to reflect on the journey so far, the gathering was a fantastic chance to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and showcase the advancements we’ve made in recent months. As Cammax continues to evolve within the Modaxo family, there was plenty to discuss, from operational developments to our preparations for Transport Ticketing Global 2025.

Exploring the Factory & Our Latest Innovations

A key part of the visit was a guided tour of our main factory, where the Modaxo team gained a first-hand look at the intricate processes behind our industry-leading ticketing and payment solutions. Seeing our production lines in action gave them a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship, technology, and expertise that go into each product we produce.

During the tour, the team had the chance to examine some of our cutting-edge innovations, including the Swift kiosk- developed as part of a project with Transport for West Midlands (TfWM)- one of the UK’s largest public transport authorities. The Modaxo representatives also explored our latest generation of parking payment machines, which offer customisable solutions tailored to the needs of operators, system providers, and end users. Designed with reliability and innovation in mind, these machines help drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Beyond the technology itself, the visit was also an opportunity for Modaxo to meet the dedicated team behind Cammax’s success. Engaging with employees across different departments, they gained valuable insight into the expertise, passion, and teamwork that drive our business forward.

The visit was a valuable experience for both Cammax and Modaxo. For Cammax, it reinforced the benefits of being part of a global network that brings together innovative transport technology companies. Discussions throughout the visit explored operational efficiencies, financial strategies, and future growth opportunities, helping us identify ways to continue improving and expanding our offering.

For Modaxo, the visit provided an opportunity to see how Cammax operates on a day-to-day basis and understand what makes our approach unique. Observing our hands-on approach to manufacturing, customer-focused solutions, and commitment to innovation gave them key insights that could help shape their strategy for future acquisitions. Seeing the collaborative spirit and expertise within our team also demonstrated the importance of maintaining strong company cultures within the wider Modaxo family.

Meet the Modaxo Leadership Team

Among the visitors this week were several key figures from Modaxo’s leadership team, each bringing a wealth of experience and insight into the discussions.

Bill Delaney, CEO of Modaxo, has led the organisation since 2020 and is responsible for driving its global growth strategy. With over 20 years of experience in the public transport sector, he has played a pivotal role in expanding Modaxo’s portfolio of people transport-focused businesses.

Rob Clay, Modaxo’s CFO since 2020, has an extensive background in financial management and leadership, helping to steer the company’s expansion and ensure strong financial performance across its growing network of businesses.

Fiona Pollard, CFO Europe, joined Modaxo in 2023 and brings years of experience working with high-growth European businesses. Her expertise in financial strategy and expansion provided valuable perspectives on Cammax’s development within the European market.

Gearing Up for Transport Ticketing Global

The welcome visit also came at a crucial time for Cammax as we prepare for Transport Ticketing Global 2025 (TTG), the world’s leading public transport ticketing event, taking place on 4th-5th March at Olympia London.

TTG is a key date in our calendar, and this year’s event will be particularly special as it marks our first appearance since joining the Modaxo group. With over 80 exhibitors and representatives from 70+ countries, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest innovations and connect with industry leaders.

At TTG 2025, we will be demoing a range of our latest solutions including our award-nominated Smart Rail Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), a cutting-edge solution designed to bring the flexibility and pricing transparency of online ticket purchasing directly to train stations. Integrated with SilverRail’s Ticket Issuing System (SilverCore), this TVM ensures passengers can access the best available fares, improving both the customer experience and revenue opportunities for train operating companies.

In addition to our Smart Rail TVM, we will also be unveiling the latest iteration of our Orion TVM, which now features additional modular options to provide even greater adaptability for operators. Our newest outdoor and wall-mounted TVMs will also be on display, showcasing advanced cash and cashless payment capabilities to support the evolving needs of both passengers and operators.

Looking Ahead

The visit reaffirmed that the partnership between Cammax and Modaxo is built on shared values of innovation, efficiency, and customer-focused solutions. Both teams left the meet up with a renewed sense of collaboration and a clear roadmap for the future.

As we move forward, Cammax is excited to continue expanding our offerings and refining our technology with the support of Modaxo. With TTG 2025 on the horizon, we’re eager to demonstrate how our solutions are making public transport ticketing smarter, more efficient, and more accessible than ever before.
