Parkex 2024 is now just a few short weeks away, and as we countdown to Europe’s largest dedicated parking conference we’ve been inspired to look back at some of the footage and highlights from last year’s expo, which was a huge success!
The 2023 edition of Parkex took place between 6-8th June at Birmingham’s NEC, and it was an absolute whirlwind for the Cammax team.
At the start of June, we packed our gear, grabbed our lanyards, and headed south to the NEC Birmingham. With new parking payment innovations to showcase and a fabulous stand to prepare, our team was excited to catch up with partners, customers, and meet new faces in the industry.
During the two-day show, we welcomed dozens of attendees to our stand, where the Cammax team was on hand to demo a wide range of our latest parking payment solutions. Our parking payment machine models, such as the Stratus, CamPay+, and a new iteration of our Cirrus Totem Pay Station, garnered significant attention. The Cirrus Totem, an all-weather hybrid cash and cashless option, impressed visitors with its software flexibility aimed at meeting the needs of any car park setup.
Additionally, our expert team took potential customers on a walk-through of our cutting-edge parking systems. We received immensely positive feedback, particularly regarding our VRM Allow List system, which proved to be a big hit with sites looking to reward their customers with free or discounted parking.
Parkex 2023 also played host to plenty of lively presentations and panel discussions that the Cammax team were happy to get involved in. During the 2023 expo key themes explored included the future of parking payment technologies and how to develop smarter parking solutions leveraging Real-Time Data.
Parkex 2024 promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with well over 100 exhibitors and organisations represented from across the entire continent. Taking place between 22nd-23rd May, Parkex 2024 also has a new home: the CBS Arena Coventry.
In line with previous years, Parkex 2024 promises an agenda brimming with engaging presentations, forums, workshops, and exciting product demonstrations. In partnership with the British Parking Association and supported by the Department for Transport, the expo will play host to the BPA Live stage. The BPA Live stage will examine challenges for local authorities and parking operators on topics such as the National Parking Platform, electric vehicles, EV infrastructure, payments, traffic management, and parking policies.
Amongst the Live Stage highlights on day one include a highly-anticipated panel session called ‘Tomorrow’s Parking World, Today’ that will explore what the future holds for the sector and how to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead: this session will provide key insights, advice, and guidance on critical areas of development. Day one will also see the ‘Parking Structures Forum’ take place. This workshop will provide key takeaways for owners and operators of car park facilities, including best practices and operational guidance to manage key operational areas.
Highlights of day two include the ‘Parking Technology Forum’, which is not to be missed. This open Q&A session will explore topics such as getting value from technology for local authorities, using AI to improve customer experience, and tackling parking payment fraud.
As one of the UK’s leading providers of advanced parking payment solutions, Cammax is set to exhibit our latest products and innovations at Parkex 2024.
Among the showcased solutions will be the cashless CirrusPay pay station, a unit that has soared in popularity in recent years due to its sleek design, robust, rugged durability in harsh outdoor environments, and flexible, intuitive software that allows the unit to be deployed as a pay-on-exit, pay-on-entry, or P&D system.
Cammax will also be displaying the CamPay v3, one of our most popular parking payment machines for clients who need to cater to cash and card-paying customers. The CamPay v3 features a large, full-colour touch screen interface, intuitive navigation, and accommodates various payment methods and validation devices, making it ideal for organisations seeking safe and secure payment options.
In addition to the CirrusPay and the CamPay v3, our specialist team is set to unveil our cutting-edge new Orion pay station during the two-day expo. This unit represents the latest in parking payment technology, combining cashless payment options, with large colourful screens, designed to deliver a brilliant customer experience. Easy to use and versatile, the Orion can be deployed to cater for cashless based parking facilities who are looking to leverage their payment infrastructure to introduce new revenue streams such as advertising.
Furthermore, our intelligent parking systems designed to help car park operators increase efficiencies and enhance customer experiences will be showcased. These systems include Pay on Exit – ANPR, Pay on Entry, Pay and Display, and our VRM Allow List system.
