After a successful two days packed full of lively debate, insightful presentations and cutting-edge product demos, the curtain has closed on the 2022 edition of Transport Card Forum (TCF) and here at Cammax we’re delighted to say that this year’s event has been a huge success.
Hosted at Birmingham’s Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel between 27th-28th September, TCF 22 witnessed transport operators, consultants, suppliers, cities, Local Government bodies and other industry specialists gather to join in discussion and mutual education related to all things Smart-ticketing.
Hot on the agenda for the 2022 exhibition was how to rebuild passenger confidence in the wake of the pandemic and attendees were also given the chance to learn more about the latest strategies and tactics for matching the quality and spread of Smart transport systems to the travel requirements of the new generation of passengers.
As a market leader in the design, development and supply of payment and ticketing systems Cammax have long used TCF as a platform for showcasing and unveiling our newest and most innovative products- and this year was no different.
During the two-day conference the Cammax team proudly demoed The CamPay+, the most technologically advanced pay station in our fleet. Capable of facilitating payments for Rail, Tram, Bus, Coach etc whilst also printing, encoding and dispensing tickets, receipts and vouchers, this Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) serves as a one stop shop for taking payments, handling customer queries, issuing tickets and updating customers with the latest and most relevant information that may impact on their onward journeys and activities.
As well as the CamPay+, the Cammax team were also at the ready to discuss the many features and benefits of our cutting-edge Smart Tram TVM-our most secure, functional and intelligent TVM to date.
The Cammax Smart Tram TVM, which has now replaced Nottingham Trams previous TVM network, facilitates the issuing of a range of Smart cards and paper tickets, whilst passengers can also use the TVM to pay for their tickets around-the-clock via contactless, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, and cash.
Our game-changing Tram TVM even features an intelligent monitoring module which enables Cammax to monitor the health and status of each and every component in the machine remotely in real time.
Feedback and reaction to our new Smart ticketing solutions was incredibly positive, with TCF attendees lauding the expert functionality of our TVMs and praising the slick aesthetics.
Over the last two decades Cammax have demonstrated an impressive track record of the successful delivery of several large payment and Smart Ticketing projects for local authorities and other organisations. These projects have encompassed customised payment and ticketing software as well as payment machines tailored to exact client needs, implementation services as well as dedicated support and maintenance services.
In one of our most high-profile recent projects Cammax teamed up with Nottingham Trams (NET) to replace the existing Tram TVM network with 118 new modern TVMs. NTL’s (Nottingham Trams Limited) goal was to update their estate’s technological requirements to meet modern customer expectations, increase the options for Smart Card users across the city, and incorporate the widely used Robin Hood Smart ticketing methods for all service users.
On day one of the event, Mandip Bahra, Assistant Commercial Manager from Nottingham Trams took to the stage to deliver an engaging talk that covered the challenges faced during the roll out and the positive outcomes since the new TVMs were installed. The presentation was extremely well received and met with warm applause.
After unveiling our latest solutions at TCF 2022, the amount of incredible feedback we have received has been unprecedented and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to come and visit the Cammax team over on our stand.
Looking ahead to next year, we can’t wait for TCF to return with news and info about the 2023 exhibition set to be released in due course. For more information, please visit https://smartex.com/smart-transport-forum/
